Ohlins TTX GP Rear Shock YA469 – Yamaha YZF-R6 '06–20
Product Overview
This is the Öhlins TTX GP rear shock absorber, part number YA 469 (type T36PR1C1LB), for the 2006–2020 Yamaha YZF-R6. It is a gas-charged, twin-tube coilover shock with a piggyback reservoir, developed from Öhlins' MotoGP work and based on its TTX technology. TTX keeps pressure balanced in the shock, which gives consistent damping and removes the risk of cavitation. Compression and rebound damping are adjusted separately, and this version has an integrated hydraulic preload adjuster.
Key Technology & Design
Twin-tube TTX design — The twin-tube layout separates rebound and compression inside the shock, with no risk of cavitation.
Separate damping adjustment — Compression and rebound settings are completely separate, with a wider adjustment range, and both can be set by hand or with a hex key.
Integrated hydraulic preload and length — Spring preload is adjusted hydraulically, and the shock length is adjustable.
New needle profiles — The compression and rebound adjusters use new needle profiles, and the updated design improves oil flow guidance and volume control for more precise damping and finer tuning.
36 mm piston — The 36 mm primary piston was redesigned to improve traction and feel on the motorcycle.
