Product Overview
This is a Renthal 14-tooth 520-pitch countershaft sprocket for a range of Kawasaki 250cc through 500cc street bikes. This sprocket matches the stock OEM front sprocket size for every bike in the Main Fitment list — no gearing change, no chain pitch change required. All of these bikes run 520-pitch chain from the factory, and this sprocket installs directly onto the stock drivetrain.
Additional fitment covers a wide range of other Kawasaki street, dual-sport, and off-road models. Full details are in the fitment tables at the bottom.
Key Technology & Design
Renthal makes this sprocket from nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy steel — commonly called chromoly — a material chosen for its combination of surface hardness and core toughness. The sprocket is CNC-machined rather than stamped, which produces tighter dimensional tolerances and more consistent tooth geometry. The design includes radial lightening holes to reduce rotating mass without compromising structural integrity. Natural finish — no coating or plating applied.

Gearing — Staying Stock or Making a Change
This sprocket is 14 teeth, which matches the stock front sprocket size on every bike in the Main Fitment table. Installing it returns your bike to factory gearing — no change to acceleration, top speed, or cruise RPM.
If you are using this as an opportunity to rethink your gearing setup, here is what the numbers mean in practice.
Going one tooth smaller on the front (to 13T) shortens gearing — harder acceleration out of corners, higher RPM at highway speeds, lower top speed. The effect is roughly equivalent to adding two to three teeth to the rear sprocket. This is a meaningful change that most riders will notice.
Going one tooth larger on the front (to 15T) lengthens gearing — lower cruise RPM at speed, softer pull from a stop, slightly higher top speed potential. Most useful for riders doing a lot of highway miles who want the engine working less hard at cruise.
Stock gearing on these bikes is well matched for everyday street use. Neither direction is an upgrade or a downgrade — it depends entirely on where and how you ride.
