The Honda GP Pro R3 Gloves are a racing and sport gauntlet glove from Alpinestars. They come from years of testing and development with professional racers on MotoGP and WorldSBK circuits.
The main goals were an optimized material layout for fit and comfort, fewer seams, and seams placed away from flex points. Impact and abrasion protection comes from their Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) knuckle and cuff protectors, with aramidic reinforcement.
Key Technology & Design
Leather construction — A blend of bovine, goat and kangaroo (palm) leather.
Hard TPU knuckle and finger protection — a hard TPU knuckle protector plus TPU finger protection for abrasion resistance and impact protection.
Dynamic Friction Shield — DFS protectors sit on the knuckle and the cuff.
Aramidic lining — Aramidic lining on the backhand and landing zone.
Palm slider and side reinforcements — the side reinforcements include a hard palm slider for abrasion resistance and reduced heat transfer.
Leather accordion panels — fingers, thumb and backhand have leather accordion paneling for fit and comfort.
Dual closure — a wrist adjuster and a cuff closure flap, with a long cuff for extended coverage.
Ventilation — a perforated gusset on the knuckle panel for hand ventilation.
Finger bridge — a finger bridge on the third and fourth fingers, which prevents finger roll and separation in a slide.
