About the certification: EN 13634:2017 sets two performance levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Alpinestars print the level a boot reached on the boot's own label rather than publishing it per model, so read the label inside the boot if the level matters to you.
Size Chart
Alpinestars' own chart for the SMX-6. Measure the longest part of your foot and compare it against the comfort size for the column you are looking at — this is the more reliable route than converting a street shoe size, because the US column here is the one Alpinestars publish for this boot and it will not always match the US size you buy trainers in.
EU — US — JPN — Foot length (comfort size)
| 36 | 3½ | 22.5 | 23.1 cm / 9.09 in |
| 37 | 4 | 23 | 23.7 cm / 9.33 in |
| 38 | 5 | 24 | 24.4 cm / 9.60 in |
| 39 | 6 | 25 | 25.1 cm / 9.88 in |
| 40 | 6½ | 25.5 | 25.7 cm / 10.11 in |
| 41 | 7½ | 26 | 26.4 cm / 10.39 in |
| 42 | 8 | 26.5 | 27.1 cm / 10.66 in |
| 43 | 9 | 27.5 | 27.7 cm / 10.90 in |
Alpinestars' own fitting advice is to try boots on with the socks you actually ride in, fasten everything, then walk, bend and sit on a bike before deciding. They also note that a new boot feels stiff until it is broken in, so a fit that is slightly tight when new is a better bet than one that is comfortable new and slack later.
Care Instructions
Alpinestars' guidance for their road and MX footwear: clean dirty boots under running water with a sponge, and do not pressure-wash them. Never use strong cleaning agents or solvents — they can weaken the materials and attack the colour and finish of the plastic. After washing, wipe the surface water off with a cloth and lay the boots on their sides to dry naturally. Do not dry them next to a fire or a radiator. Between rides keep them fastened so they hold their shape, and store them in their box in a well-ventilated place — not in a cellar or a plastic bag, where mould can take hold. Check that the sole still has tread and that the fasteners still work, and after a crash inspect the boots thoroughly. Alpinestars say a boot that can no longer be fastened properly, or that has holes or tears, must be replaced, and that the user should not modify or repair it.

Description:Alpinestars Stella SMX-6 V3 Boots – Black/White/Diva Pink
Product Overview
This is a women’s boot. Stella is Alpinestars’ women’s line, and they state the SMX-6 V3 is built on a dedicated female fit rather than a men’s boot in smaller sizes — the upper is engineered to conform to the contours of the foot, which Alpinestars say also improves walking comfort.
Alpinestars describe it as a track and street performance boot built with race-derived technology and protective materials. The upper is microfiber; the front and back flex zones are textile over-injected on 3D mesh with soft TPU. Protection is a TPU lateral ankle brace between the top calf, shin and ankle, dual-density TPU ankle protectors, a compact race-derived TPU shin plate that Alpinestars note is shaped to fit under riding pants, a TPU shifter zone, and a rear calf TPU bridge. The toe sliders are replaceable.
