About the certification: EN 13634:2017 sets two performance levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Alpinestars print the level a boot reached on the boot's own label rather than publishing it per model, so read the label inside the boot if the level matters to you.
Size Chart
Alpinestars' own touring-boot chart, which is the chart they give for the SP-X BOA. Measure the longest part of your foot and compare it against the comfort size.

| 39 | 6 | 25 | 25.2 cm / 9.92 in |
| 40 | 6½ | 25.5 | 25.9 cm / 10.19 in |

| 48 | 12½ | 31.5 | 31.2 cm / 12.28 in |
Note this is a different chart from Alpinestars' race boots: the comfort sizes run a little longer at the same EU size.
Care Instructions
Alpinestars' guidance for their road footwear: clean dirty boots under running water with a sponge, and do not pressure-wash them. Do not use strong cleaning agents or solvents, which can weaken the materials and damage the colour and finish of the plastic parts. Wipe off surface water with a cloth and lay the boots on their sides to dry naturally. Do not dry them next to a fire or a radiator. Store them fastened, in their box, somewhere well ventilated rather than in a cellar or a plastic bag. Check that the sole still has tread and the closure still works, and inspect the boots thoroughly after a crash. Alpinestars say a boot that can no longer be fastened properly, or has holes or tears, must be replaced, and must not be modified or repaired by the user.

Description:Alpinestars SP-X BOA Boots – Black/Silver
Product Overview
The SP-X BOA is Alpinestars’ mid-height sport boot, cut to sit under riding pants rather than over them, and built to be walked in off the bike. Alpinestars aim it at sport and sport-touring riders who want coverage and protection without wearing a full race boot.
The upper mixes microfiber, Alpinestars’ soft Rideknit material and knitted mesh, with seamless heat-welded parts. Underneath, a TPU heel counter, a toe slider and Alpinestars’ Transversal Protection Frame in the sole are there to resist impacts and stop the boot bending or twisting the wrong way. Entry is through a zip on the inside of the boot, and a BOA dial on the side tightens the fit.
If you want a full-height race boot with replaceable sliders all round, Alpinestars’ Supertech R and SMX Plus V2 are the boots in that part of their range.
