These are Puig's R19 frame sliders for the 2024–2026 Kawasaki Ninja 500, reference 22025N, sold as a pair with brackets and mounting hardware. Each slider is a nylon puck with a rubber end cap. Puig states they protect the engine and chassis in a fall, and that they sit inside the width of the handlebars and touch down after the footpegs.
The rubber end caps are there for the rider as much as the bike: Puig states they protect your knee from knocking the slider when getting on and off.
Three things to know before you order:
The fairing comes off to fit them. Puig's mounting sheet says the side fairing has to be removed. The sliders then bolt to the engine-to-chassis mounting points through black aluminum brackets and spacers supplied in the kit. The sheet does not call for cutting or drilling the bodywork.
They are not compatible with engine guards. Puig states this directly.
The rubber caps come in grey. The nylon puck is black; the rubber end caps are supplied in grey. Puig sells replacement caps in black, blue, red, orange, green, grey and white (reference 3148, by color), and replacement nylon pucks with caps for this kit (3151N). Ask us and we will add any of them to your order.
Key Technology & Design
Nylon pucks
The sliders are nylon pucks, the part designed to take the contact in a slide.
Rubber end caps
A rubber cap covers the end of each puck, which Puig states protects the rider's knee from knocking the slider.
Bracket mount to the engine hangers
Each side mounts to an engine-to-chassis bolt through a black aluminum plate and aluminum spacers, using the M10 bolts and nuts supplied.
Model-specific
Puig builds each set for one motorcycle model; this one is for the Ninja 500.
Replaceable wear parts
The rubber caps and the nylon pucks are sold separately, so a slider that has done its job can be rebuilt rather than replaced.
