Product Overview
This is Vortex’s V3 2.0 frame slider kit for the 2009–2026 Honda CBR600RR, kit SR110. It is a complete bike-specific kit: aluminum mounts that bolt to the bike, energy-absorbing pucks, and the hardware to fit them, with illustrated assembly instructions in the box.
Fairing modification is required on this bike. Vortex lists SR110 in its “Mod” range of V3 2.0 kits, separate from the kits that fit without modification. Vortex’s instruction sheet has you remove both fairings, swap the original frame-to-engine spacers for the kit’s brackets, then mark and drill a hole in each fairing where the slider passes through. Vortex recommends having its V3 sliders installed by a certified motorcycle mechanic, and its sheet carries the company’s standard notice describing the kit as a professional accessory for race-track use.
The design idea behind the V3 2.0 is controlled failure. Vortex builds in areas meant to flex, and specifies the bolts so that in a crash the slider assembly bends where it is designed to, rather than passing the force on to the frame or engine cases.
