Product Overview
The GPR V5-S is a complete bolt-on steering stabilizer kit for the 2015–2019 Yamaha YZF-R1. Includes the V5-S damper and all YZF-R1 specific mounting hardware. No drilling into the top clamp or frame required.
GPR is a family-owned business based in San Diego, California. All design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing is done in-house. The V5-S is the fifth generation of GPR's sport bike damper, first introduced in 2007. It has been used on race teams competing in AMA Superbike, British Superbike, Australian Superbike, and other road racing series.
The damper body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. A large adjustment dial with 22 positions lets the rider change damping settings while riding. The dial locks at each position with a positive click rather than a friction-based grip.
