Product Overview
The GPR V5-S is a complete steering stabilizer kit for the 2019–2025 Kawasaki ZX-6R. The kit includes the V5-S damper, all mounting brackets, and a machined GPR top clamp. The stabilizer mounts directly to the GPR top clamp. The ZX-6R does not come with a factory steering damper — this kit installs using the included GPR top clamp in place of the stock unit. The GPR clamp accepts the stock ignition and lock from the OEM clamp, so no modifications to those components are required.
GPR is a family-owned business based in San Diego, California. All design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing is done in-house. The V5-S is the fifth generation of GPR's sport bike damper, first introduced in 2007. It has been used on race teams competing in AMA Superbike, British Superbike, Australian Superbike, and other road racing series.
The damper body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. A large adjustment dial with 22 positions lets the rider change damping settings while riding. The dial locks at each position with a positive click rather than a friction-based grip.
